	The Hawthorn clinic has been set up to provide a peaceful, harmonious, safe space for Complementary Health Practitioners to establish their practice in Galway. The Hawthorn Clinic was the brainchild of Karen Egan who is a qualified Acupuncturist and Massage therapist, her concept to create a Complementary Health centre finally came into fruition in November 2005 Aim Our aim at the Hawthorn Clinic is to provide quality therapies and therapists for our clients, offering a variety of treatments that take into account not only the physical factors, but the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of the individual. By empowering the client in this way, it encourages the client to take responsibility for their own health, as well as facilitating the body’s own innate healing process. Each therapist have been trained to the highest level in their discipline and are all members of professional insurance bodies. The Hawthorn Clinic's electricity is supplied by Airtricity (wind-power). Further landscaping on its outdoor courtyard will provide a quiet garden space in the centre of Galway, a hawthorn and apple tree have recently been planted to encourage healing and growth. The Clinic is 5 minutes walk from Shop St., city centre. Follow the road from Mainguard St. across the bridge and take a left down Dominic St. taking a right to lower Donimic St. 100m down, the road naturally curves to the left and then right bringing you onto William St.West. The Hawthorn Clinic is 150m on the right-hand side. Parking There plenty of Pay and Display parking along Sea Rd. This takes €2 per hour or €3 per two hours.
